Facilities

Kaikoura Primary School offers a very wide range of facilities for education and play. The latest in computer technology is taught and used freely in support of teaching and learning (i.e. laptops, digital cameras, computerised learning programmes). The school has a spacious and well resourced library and comfortable classrooms.

A solar heated swimming pool allows for the teaching of swimming skills through the summer months. Our adventure playgrounds provide fun and exercise for all.

Our school enjoys a high level of interaction with our environment and opportunities for learning outside the classroom are actively promoted.

The teaching of literacy and numeracy is a strong focus of our school. This is actively supported through strong professional teaching and learning, high expectations and the promotion of thinking and problem solving skills.
